Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to be able to use the Truscares website, including people who rely on assistive technology. We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we treat accessibility as ongoing rather than a one-off task.

Measures in place

  • A “skip to main content” link and a logical, keyboard-operable tab order.
  • Visible focus indicators on links, buttons, form fields, and menus.
  • Colour combinations checked for contrast against WCAG AA.
  • Reduced-motion preferences are respected, including for in-page scrolling.
  • Layouts that reflow and remain readable when text is enlarged or the page is zoomed.
  • Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images; decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
  • Semantic headings and landmarks so pages can be navigated by structure.
  • Form fields with visible labels, clear error messages, and links that open a new tab announced as such.

Ongoing work

We review the site as it changes and fix issues we find. Accessibility is never “finished,” and some areas may not yet fully meet our target. If you come across something that is hard to use, we would like to know so we can put it right.
